2015 Swimming Gala
The Swimming Gala saw every child in Years 2 and 3 take part with enthusiasm as they swam their fastest whilst representing their House. Competition was fierce and races were tight as the children raced in both front crawl and backstroke events. It was a great display of the talented swimmers here at Copthill as well as seeing the progress that our younger and less confident children have made.
In preparation for the gala the children in Years 2 and 3 have progressed to lengths or swimming in the main pool this term. The gala saw 2 new records set by Isla Fulluck and Sammy Harriss in both the 25m front crawl and the 25m backstroke respectively. The results for the afternoon were 1st Milton, 2nd Casewick, 3rd Lindsey and 4th Burghley. Well done to all the swimmers for their efforts and thank you to all the parents for supporting the children.
From September we will be moving all of our swimming lessons to the Stamford Boys School pool. I would like to say how appreciative the staff at Copthill are for all the hard work that the staff at Deepings School have provided over the years.
