U11 Girls and U11 Boys Kwik Cricket House Matches - 2019

The Y5/6 girls showcased some fantastic cricket this beautiful summer's afternoon for their final house matches of the year.

All four houses worked well as teams, encouraging each other and communicating effectively. Each team took wickets and it was amazing to see how much progress there was in bowling. There were some stunning hits from the girls with many 6s and 4s scored and some strong fielding to keep the singles down to make a very close final and semi-final.

The final results were:

1st place: Milton
2nd place: Lindsey
3rd place: Casewick
4th place: Burghley

It was lovely to see so many parents supporting a wonderful end to the girls' first official term in cricket.

The Year 5&6 Boys played some super cricket this afternoon in what was a beautiful summers day! There were many 6's and 4's hit from all the houses and all the matches were very tight, many going down to the final over in the match!

The final saw Casewick face the favourites for the competition, Lindsey which meant 3rd/4th place was played out between Milton and Burghley.

The final was won by Lindsey in the very final over by just 3 runs. 3rd place was taken by Burghley.

The final results were:

1st - Lindsey
2nd - Casewick
3rd - Burghley
4th - Milton

Thank you to all the parents who came and supported the event and well done to everyone for their participation this afternoon.

Mr Smith
