U11 A Rounders v Laxton

The girls were put into bat first and got off to a solid start with some consistent hitting. Unfortunately despite some good scores from Ella Bevis, Maisie Brownlow and Rosie Sly, the girls were frustrated by some sleek and very effective Laxton fielding. There were some promising moments whilst fielding, with some excellent catches from Maisie, Maddie Hunt and Hope Tomey and some fantastic deep field throwing from Elizabeth Hall. Despite losing to a strong Laxton side, the girls enjoyed their first match and came away determined to work on their performances before their next game!
