U11 & U9 Hockey House Matches

Two wonderful afternoons of Hockey for the girls, in quite different conditions though. The U11's drew the short straw on this one, with an afternoon full of rain from start to finish, the U9's has a far drier day which felt very mild in comparison.

The one thing consistent across both afternoons was the superb attitude and determination of the children. I was very proud of how the Yr5's and 3's stepped up to play with the older year and still involved themselves completely in the matches. There were a wonderful number of goals across the games, and most games could have gone either way with some shots just sneaking wide and some superb saves on the line!

I must also make reference to the Yr6 House Captains who supported both days and were wonderful in organising their peers on the Wednesday and inspiring the younger girls on the Thursday. I was very proud of how they conducted themselves and how seriously they took their roles. An extended thanks must also go to you, the parents for coming along to watch. It was lovely to hear encouraging support and cheering for all teams. Thank you.
