Brooke Priory Schools Show Jumping Competition 2015

On Saturday, 2^nd May 2015 the newly formed Copthill Show Jumping team made their debut performance at the Brooke Priory Prep Schools Show Jumping Competition.  Copthill haven’t had a show teaming team for over a decade so the team took their responsibility of representing the school very seriously.  Max Kettlewell, Izzy Durrands, Ella Braun, Agatha Pennell and Rosie Sly took to the saddle for a morning of thrills and spills (literally) over a course of 9 jumps. 

Now the problem with horse riding is that no matter how good the rider, the pony has a lot to do with the outcome.  And Copthill seem to have their fair share of tricky ponies!  Max rode a very solid and sensible course on the aptly named Bandit; very unusual for Max to take things carefully!  Izzy should have had the jumps increased by a metre for her cat-leaping pony Cadno.  Ella must have had glue on her jodhpurs as Fudge tried all manner of tricks to get her off but she stuck firmly to that saddle.  Aggie and Rosie rode Inca (not at the same time) and flew around the course on the oldest pony of the bunch.

It was an absolutely fantastic morning of riding.  The team had the best fun....and were definitely the best team to watch!
