Rounders v Stamford

Whilst the Summer term brings sunshine, it is also renowned for having its fair share of rain!  The weather was unpredictable to say the least today with dark clouds looming and the wind blowing wildly.  

The U11B team played a good first innings with Poppy Newman bowling under very windy conditions.  Jessie Westwood, Hope Tomey, Lani Elder and Alessia Russo scored full rounders with some good batting.  They watched the ball carefully and helped notch up those rounders for Copthill. The team were competing against Stamford, who fielded well and prevented Copthill from equalising.  Despite not winning Copthill played well.  Player of the match was awarded to Jessie Westwood for all round playing ability.  The captain of the team was Hope Tomey.  Well done girls.
