U11 Hardball Cricket v Stamford JS (a) on Wednesday 8th June 2016
Copthill U11s cricketers came away from Stamford JS on Wednesday 8th triumphant after an enthralling contest saw Copthill win by 14 runs.
Copthill elected to bat first and made a total of 256, which we knew wasn't the biggest score and was easily achievable for SJS to reach. However Copthill started amazingly well with Gabe Rudman getting 2 wickets in his very first over and the very first over of the match! He also then went on to get a hat-trick in another one of his overs and getting a mars bar from Mr Smith for this outstanding achievement!
SJS ended 14 runs short as Copthill took another wicket in the last over from Tom Mills's bowling to ensure that Copthill ran out winners.
Well done to all the boys who took part and man of the match could only go to one person this week - Gabe Rudman for his superb bowling!
