Winners of the U11 Rounders Triangular Tournament - Wed 8th June 2016

The U11 'A' Rounders team performed exceptionally well in the triangular tournament between Copthill, The Peterborough School and Ayscoughfee on Wednesday 9th June.  The girls batted first and despite hitting the ball with consistency, TPS were quick to field and limit the rounders scored by Copthill.  Copthill successfully scored four and a half rounders and their aim when fielding was to limit the rounders achieved by TPS.  This Copthill did very well.  Their fielding was sharp, with Elizabeth and Daisy successfully getting numerous players out with some quick fielding from backstop to first base.  With only three TPS girls remaining in batting and on ball number sixteen, Copthill tactically got all of TPS out by stumping the batters square.  Excellent teamwork girls and an impressive win.  Kiara was captain and Rosie was awarded player of the game.

Coptill U11 'A' then played their second game against Ayscoughfee.  They were determined to continue their success and were again accurate with their fielding and quick to get many of Ayscoughfee's players out with either super catches or fielding efficiently to posts.  Lea was the captain and Ana was awarded captain of the game.  Another excellent win to Copthill.

An excellent performance girls and well done.
