Copthill U11B vs St Hugh's U11B Football

During the U11B team's 2nd game of the season they dominated against St Hugh's, which led to their 2nd victory in succession. The captain was Frankie Battle and the starting lineup was: in goal Felix Bowling, in defence Saiyan Mashru, Finley Smith and Rajesh Sisodia, in midfield Frankie Battle and Alec Telford and the lone striker was Edmund Kavati. The scoring was opened when Frankie Battle chipped the ball into the air, then skillfully lobbed the keeper. It was made 2-0 when Saiyan Mashru, who was played through on goal by Edmund Kavati, slotted the ball in the near post. Copthill went 3-0 up after Edmund scored in quick succession. Felix Bowling, the goalkeeper, made a great save when a St Hugh’s player was completely through on goal with the defense slow to retreat. He then saved the rebound like a leaping salmon. At halftime the score was 3-1 and Copthill looked like they were in good form. Edmund then scored another goal when he beautifully curled a free kick from the edge of the box. 5-1 became the score when Alec Telford also bagged himself a goal. Finley Smith so nearly got his 1st goal of the season when he narrowly missed when he was 1 on 1 against the St Hugh’s goalkeeper. Edmund Kavati then gained Copthill’s first hat trick of the season when Felix Bowling passed to Saiyan Mashru in midfield, who then slotted through to the striker who was tearing up the defense. Felix Bowling saved the team from conceding again when he dived courageously into the far corner. A great performance from everyone which resulted in a well-earned win. Well Done to everyone who played in the match. Man of the Match was three time scorer Edmund. Final score 6-1 to Copthill.
