U11 Football v Grantham Prep - 11/01/17 (a)
Copthill U11 A team played there first football match of the term on Wednesday against Grantham Prep.
They started really well scoring quickly and dominating the early stages of the game. Charlie Plant and Owen James were proving to be a handful and Grantham were struggling to contain there pace and skill. After further goals from both teams the half time score was 4-2 to Copthill.
Copthill again scored an early goal to make the score 5-2, however after many missed chances from Copthill and Grantham taking there chances to make the score 5-4 it proved to be a nervy end to an incredibly exciting match.
Copthill fully deserved to win and were better than a one goal margin in the end. Goals were scored by Charlie Plant 2, Owen James 2 and Will Le Voi with 1. Man of the match was Charlie Plant and our next match is away at St Hugh's next Wednesday.
