U11b Football vs. Grantham

Copthill U11B Football vs. Grantham Prep

In their first game of the season, the B team played phenomenally well. There was excellent passing, great skills and some amazing goals! Mr Thomas was the referee and William Taylor and Vir Makwana took turns in goal. Ted Pennell, Gilbert Genever-Jones and Sammy Harris were in defence and created a solid wall that Grantham couldn’t get through. Edmund Kavati, Tom Mills and Frankie Battle were up front and had lots of shots on goal. Frankie Battle was Captain. Edmund Kavati gave the first assist to Tom Mills in the first half of the match who shunted the ball over the line from centimeters out. Tom Mills scored a fantastic second goal, from even closer. At the end, the score was 2-0 to Copthill. The attitude was great and all worked hard as a team on a windy day. Man of the Match was given to Frankie Battle who was integral in midfield making lots of ground.
