U10A Hockey v Brooke Priory Wed 12th October 2016

The U10A girls went out to win this afternoon and they did very very well in their match against Brooke Priory.  Copthill dominated from the start and worked with thorough determination, maintaining possession of the ball and working hard on the occasions to regain possession.  At half time Copthill were one goal up and showed a fantastic level of determination.

Brooke Priory came back in the second half determined to equalise.  Copthill worked well spreading out and passing the ball up the pitch to advance towards the goal.  Some great shots at goal, some just requiring a second attempt at the rebound were played and Copthill maintained their thirst to win.  As the game neared the final few minutes, Brooke Priory managed to secure their first goal.  As the whistle was blown for full time Brooke Priory then placed one final shot at the goal which crossed the line.  The whistle had gone but it was just one of those unfortunate situations!

Player of the match and Captain was Ivy Kettlewell.

Mrs Harriss
