On the 28th of September the Copthill U11A rugby team played Leicester Grammar Junior School.  The first half was very close and by the end Copthill were narrowly down, 3-2 to Leicester. But with fantastic team play and stunning handling we bought it back to an amazing 6-3 victory to us winning the last half by 4 tries to nil.  

Highlights:

Copthill’s handling of the ball was really good, especially in the second half.

Mr Thomas said it was the best offloading in the contact area he has ever seen.

Improvements:

Moving forward with the ball and continuing to pass the ball wide.

The game was really fun and fair. The weather was clear and it stayed sunny all afternoon. Finally, the match teas were really tasty with cookies as the pudding, delicious!
