U10 Girls drew both their matches - Wed 24th May 2017

Well done to the U10 Girls who put on a fantastic display of rounders this afternoon.  The sun was shining and the girls remained focussed in the heat, the team captained by Eliana Russo.  In the first game against The Peterborough School, Copthill worked hard to limit the rounders scored at second post with some tight and secure fielding on display.  In a very close match the girls batted well and in the final ball bowled, Copthill were able to secure a draw as a result of an obstruction from The Peterborough School which allowed our rounder to count.

In the second game, Copthill again worked hard and secured a second draw of four and a half rounders to both teams.  The girls continued to hit the ball and worked hard to earn the half rounders at second post.

Player of the matches was awarded to Molly Gumbrell for her work as a deep fielder and getting the ball accurately to second post to limit rounders scored by the opposition.

Well done to the whole team.

Mrs Harriss
