U11B Boys Hockey at Stamford Tournament

The Copthill U11B hockey team performed brilliantly at the Stamford Junior School tournament.  Their team spirit and sportsmanship were impeccable.  First they played Stamford and drew 1-1 in a very tight game, captained by Ruben Baker.  In the second match, Copthill beat Stoneygate 4-0, captained by James Hayes and finally, Copthill beat Witham 3-1, captained by Will Fraser.  James Hayes was player of the tournament, though every player shone at different times.  Copthill needed to work hard in defence at times, however, when we counter-attacked, we looked deadly.  A great display to end the hockey season.
