U9 Netball v Brooke Priory

The team took a little while to find their feet in their recent match against Brooke Priory.   They held their own scorewise for the first half of the match, drawing at half time with the ball end to end and equal time on the ball.  The height of the post was lower than expected and this took the Copthill shooters a little time to adjust and secure the goals.

As the second half of the match took hold, Brooke Priory took the lead initially which gave Copthill the drive to work with greater focus and determination.  The girls began linking their passes with greater effectiveness from the centre passes and they successfully managed to claw back the goals with some good shooting.

The girls quickly turned the game around and took the lead to ensure a win when the final whistle was blown.

Player of the match was awarded to Holly Haynes and the final score was an 11-8 win to Copthill.

Well done girls.

Mrs Harriss
