U11A vs Laxton

On a very warm evening the girls played their first stand alone game with both previous weeks being a festival and tournament structure.
We have been trying to work on our structure and maintaining our shape, whilst developing the strength of pass. Lottie Parker worked very hard to hold her position and transitioned very well into the A team. She tracked her player and made some lovely tackles. Another player who stepped up on the back of a strong performance in the previous week was Hollie Potts. Playing up front, again she worked hard to remain high and offer the through ball for the midfielders.Violet Griffiths-Barrasso also played her first A game in goal and she made some superb saves and strong clears.

Annabel Hayes again had a wonderful work rate, getting back in defence and working hard to get back into a strong position when attacking. The same can be said of Emily Darrel who worked hard to offer at both ends of the pitch. I can already see improvement in the girls and with additional lessons and training sessions this will continue to be the case.
The girls won the game 8-3 with Georgia Plant, Annabel Hayes and Holly Potts scoring two each and Emily Darrell and Libby Bird scoring one each.
Players of the match awarded to Violet Griffiths-Barrasso and Lottie Parker.
