Netball - Spring term - Week 7

The U11A Netball team played a super match against Brooke Priory school this afternoon.   The team was captained by Ella Bevis.   Ella persevered throughout the game against an outstanding GS.  Ella maintained her cool and demonstrated a great reach to recover possession of the ball and clear it away from the goal circle.  Aggs Pennell and Maisie Brownlow were both consistent and demonstrated some impressive Netball.  The team worked well together, linking some good passes and Lani Elder and Hope Tomey were successful in securing 5 good goals between them.  The game was end to end but Brooke Priory managed to maintain a lead due to their GS securing every goal in the net from any position in the circle!  Well done also to Emily Scrafton and Alessia Russo who played well as WA and WD.  Player of the match was Ags Pennell. 

You should all feel very proud of how you played today girls.  Well done.

The U11B team had a great result against Brooke Priory.  It was brought to my attention by a Brooke Priory member of staff that both Chloe Mills and Alexandra Parker marked well in their defending positions and contributed well to the game.  Well done girls!  The final result was a 2-1 win for Copthill.
