U10 Hockey Festival
Today saw the Yr5 girls have their first Hockey fixture as a festival at Stamford Junior School. They played a number of teams including Brooke, Laxton, LGJS, Witham, Stoneygate and Stamford. We had the chance to move the girls around and have certainly found new strengths in different positions. We are always watching the girls to move them between positions and teams to get the most from their hockey.
A number of players really stepped up from practice and showed us just what they can offer on the hockey field. We were really pleased with the girls running onto the ball and trying to think about some width. It was a sound start to the hockey fixtures, and we look forward to continuing to develop the girls’ skills.
