U11 Rugby v Wisbech Grammar - Wednesday 11th September 2019

The boys put in a good performance, working well as a team.  Straight running and good driving at the rucks to secure position kept Wisbech on the back foot.  Although not a strong team, the opposition had some dangerous runners and commitment to the tackle by all the Copthill boys made it difficult for these key players to cause us real problems.  Handling was good and we moved the ball wide a number of times to find gaps and put our finishers into space to score.
Milo led from the front as Captain and Monty continued to be impressive in his tackling and powerful running.  Man of the Match was Rory in his first game for Copthill, who showed he has already become an important part of the team.
A great start and we now look forward to a sterner test in the SES tournament next week.
Mr Willson
