U11/U10 Rugby v Wisbech G - Wednesday 11th September 2019
Some of the Year 5 and 6 boys mixed together on Wednesday to play a combined match against Wisbech Grammar School.
This was their first competitive match of the term and what a way to start! The score could have been massive, therefore I did not keep score after a while as this would have been very demoralising for a weak Wisbech side - many who have never played contact rugby before.
I was very impressed by the attitude and sportsmanship demonstrated from the Copthill boys, which was a credit to the school and after such a fantastic win, they must now not get complacent and believe that every match they play in will be as easy as that, as it most certainly won't!
Well done to all the boys who took part. The team was captained by Charles Kavati and player of the match was awarded to Alfie Bird.
