U11 Hockey v Ratcliffe - Wed 21st February 2018
Copthill travelled to Ratcliffe on Wednesday 21st February to play hockey in which is always a great fixture to attend.
Rtcliffe are always a very well organised team who play good, quick hockey. However Copthill approached this game with confidence following the great performance they put in at the recent ISA event.
The match was played in three 12 minute periods which gave lots of opportunity for switching around players and offering coaching advice to the boys. The first third was very tight and Copthill went 1-0 down from a short corner. The second third Ratcliffe really stepped it up a gear and went into a 4-1 lead. However Copthill finished the stronger team and ended up losing 6-3.
This was a great improvement from last year when they lost 8-1 to Ratcliffe, so very well done to all the boys who were captained well by Henry Clifton and players of the match were Sammy Harriss and Reuben Isaac.
