U11 vs The Peterborough School and Ayscoughfee

A win and a draw for U11 in their second fixture of the season, and their last ahead of ISA next week.
The girls had a really strong game against Ayscoughfee, playing the ball well around the court and working hard to not move down one isolated channel.
Gemma O'Flaherty joined well with Jessica Dean in centre court and were able to feed Bea Selkirk and Halle Stone so positive ball into the circle .Bea's shooting was excellent and the practice is certainly paying off. For this match I awarded Bea the player of the match. Evie Holder and Felicity Branton worked hard to offer as the ball moved up the court from the backline, they are working on developing their double leads of a backline pass.
The game against Peterborough was a much tougher game and they scored two early goals putting some pressure on the girls. They responded well and with some excellent defending from Isobel Brown, Ivy Kettlewell and Emily Darrell, we managed to turnover the possession and make two quick chances for ourselves, which well confidentially converted. Emily has really stepped up to be part of this side and her interceptions and leaping for the ball has really come on, I have awarded Emily the player of the match for this second game.
I was really pleased with how the girls were able to respond when they were behind early in the game. They stayed focused on trying to play our netball and not worrying about what the opposition were doing.
