Two wins for the U9 Netball girls

The U9 Netball girls really stepped up their game this week in their matches against both Ayscoughfee School and The Peterborough School.  They played exceptionally well as a team and were successful in winning both their matches.  Most impressive was Copthill's progress in marking the opposition.  Copthill marked tightly throughout and really did limit the oppositions choice of passes.

In the first match against Ayscoughfee, Copthill dominated the game and linked their passes fluently to progress the ball towards their goal end.  Lexie and Lulu achieved some accurate shooting and notched up an impressive five goals between them.  Lulu was awarded player of the match for her movement and positioning into space in the goal circle.  Well done Lulu.  The final score was a 5-3 win for Copthill.

In the second match against The Peterborough School Copthill found the team more of a challenge however, they maintained their focus and held it together to take a 1-0 lead.  Flo Cavacuiti was awarded player of the match for her commitment to marking her player and the perseverance she showed.  Well done Flo.

All nine girls really did give everything this afternoon and they should be commended on their great  team effort.  Well done team.
