ISA Hockey through the girls’ words!

On the 14th of November we went to the London Olympic Stadium for ISA hockey. We played four pool games against Oakfield, Akeley Wood, L.O.G.S and Ipswich high. On our first match we won 5-0, a great start for the team. We came 3rd in our pool and went on to play for the plate. We got to the final but lost to Ipswich High on the penalty flicks. Overall we got a silver medal and we all thought we did the best we could. In the finals we got to play in the inside pitch for the final. We had to keep very warm in between matches with heat pads, blankets and warm fluffy coats. We also had a delicious lunch provided by school. All together we had an amazing day.

I was extremely proud of the way the girls played at ISA. We were super lucky with the weather and although the girls comment on wrapping up, we had sunshine and blue skies, very different to the rain you had here at Copthill.
The girls made a wonderful start and this gave them the boost they needed to see how all the things they had practiced were coming together. I was super proud of their silver in the Plate and I hope they cherish their medals and hoodies for many years to come. Mrs Alcoran
