U11A Cricket v Laxton JS Wed 22nd June 2016
Copthill U11A team were comprehensively beaten by a Laxton JS team that have been by far the best team they have played this term.
Copthill did not help themselves however with some very erratic fielding which gave the hosts further runs.
Laxton ended with a score of 315 runs from 15 overs. Copthill knew they were up against it and had to give it a real go. However they could not handle the fantastic mix of bowling from Laxton which included leg and off spin, fast and wrist spin deliveries! Laxton took a total of 17 wickets in there 15 overs!! Bearing in mind that you lose 5 runs for every wicket then it's not difficult to work out that we were in negative figures. However starting on 200 Copthill managed a score of 147.
They hope to bounce back in what is there final match of the term against Maidwell Hall next Wednesday.
