U9 Rounders v Stamford - Thurs 11th May 2017
U9 Rounders
The U9 Rounders team put up a very good performance in their first match against Stamford Junior School on Thursday 11th May. They started very well with some very strong batting, hitting the ball far over the Stamford deep fielders and earning some well deserved rounders early on.
Emily Darrell was awarded Player of the Match for her consistent bowling and fantastic catch. Well done to all the girls, including the year 3 players who stepped up to the year 4 team in order to enable two U9 matches to take place.
The final score was 14.5 rounders to Stamford and 11.5 rounders to Copthill, with Copthill narrowly missing out on a win by only 3 rounders.
