U11C Girls Netball V Castor - Wed 13th Jan 2016

Well done this afternoon girls in your first Netball match of the season.  The U11C team worked hard practising their passing and catching prior to the game commencing.  They started the fixture with determination and worked well to regain possession of the ball.  Castor were strong at intercepting the ball and they marked well, making it challenging for Copthill girls to keep possession of the ball and this limited the scoring opportunities for Copthill.  Four quarters were played and as the game progressed Copthill were achieving success linking 7 or 8 successful passes together and transferring the ball effectively from one end of the Netball court to the other.  The final score was 5-1 to Castor.   Both Mirrin Edgar and Rosie Thorpe did a super job as Captains of the team.  Maddie Barrett was awarded Player of the Match for her effort and all round contribution to the game.
