U9 Netball Squad v St. Hughs Wed 20th Jan 2016

The girls excitedly boarded the bus this afternoon for their first match of the season.  The team listened well on the bus to a team talk on marking the opposition and getting free to receive the ball.  They were clear on their positions and rules were recapped.

The game started very well for Copthill and they were quick to take an early lead.  Secure shooting from Bea Selkirk and Emily Anderson as GS and GA resulted in a 9-0 win.  Captain of the game was Jessica Dean.  Player of the match was awarded to Ivy Kettlewell for frequent interceptions and accurate passing.

Very well done to the team.  They linked passes together well and challenged St. Hughs each time they got the possession of the ball.

A very impressive and promising start.
