Immense Defence!

WOW!!

What an amazing afternoon of hockey for the U11 girls. They worked so hard against two strong teams. 

Firsy we played Ratcliffe, a very strong side with one or two exceptionally talented players. The girls defended out of their skins. Some of the shots on goal were extremely powerful and each and every girl got themselves in strong positions and remained confident in defence throughout. Georgina had her best game of the season in goal, saving a huge number of powerful strikes and a few arriving above the ground. The opposition chose Olivia Teesdale as their player of the match. 

The second game was against Brooke Priory and the girls kept their structure well and had more possession in the midfield. Unfortunately we were not able to make ourselves any scoring opportunities, but again the girls worked really hard in defence and really showed they could look up and clear the ball wide with power. The opposition chose Flo Cavaciuti as their player of the match. 

I was extremely proud of each and every girl today and I am excited to continue to progress with the girls over the second half of the season.
