U11 ISA Football at Stoke College - Fri 4th February 2017
6 boys travelled all the way to Stoke-by-Clare to take part in the Regional 5 a-side football competition on Friday.
The squad was unfortunately hit by illness before the event and on the actual morning meaning that only 6 players went instead of the original 8 and 2 of those were recovering from flu symptoms! So the outlook seemed bleak...!
They played 4 matches in total, losing 3 and drawing 1. The boys tried very hard after the first game and if they had a little more luck they may have drawn a couple more.
So they did not make the main cup competition but certainly did not disgrace themselves in terms of performance and effort.
Charlie Plant was captain for the tournament and player of the tournament was all of them.
