U11A Netball v Grantham Prep School
Still upbeat despite a very cold start to the season ...
The U11A Girls Netball team travelled to Grantham Preparatory School on Wednesday 14th January for their first match of the season. It was touch and go whether the fixtures arranged for the afternoon were going to go ahead as Grantham had experienced a little snow earlier in the day! After a number of phone calls and a little gentle persuasion from Mrs Harriss that our children were used to playing in tough conditions, Grantham agreed to keep the fixtures on. The U11A team battled hard for a long 40 minute game. Despite a defeat, the girls remained spirited and tried hard to link their passes together to maintain possession of the ball. They persevered to the end and should be commended on their efforts. Hope Tomey was selected as captain and player of the match was awarded to Ags Pennell. Special mention also to Ella Bevis and Maisie Brownlow for their defending throughout the game. Well done to all of you.
