U11B Cricket vs SJS

On a cold and breezy afternoon, Copthill fielded first.  We bowled well and fielded quite effectively, taking five wickets.  SJS had some good batsman and they were able to steadily build their score with regular boundaries.  Eshan was the pick of the bowlers with a good line and plenty of pace.  Set a score of 133 to chase, Copthill began well with Elliot and Ted scoring 28 in their opening four overs.  After that, the speed and accuracy of the SJS attack kept our batsmen pegged back and forced to play defensive shot.  Each pair added to the score, but as we lost eleven wickets altogether, building our score was difficult.  After the last ball, Copthill had managed to score 62, with Elliott the pick of the batsmen and also captaining the side very effectively.  The team played with great spirit and a positive attitude.  We are looking forward to our next match.
