U11 B Hockey v Ratcliffe (a) on Wednesday 9th March 2016

Copthill travelled to Ratcliffe College on Wednesday 9th March. It was horrendous weather throughout the day and doubts were raised as to whether the match would still take place, however with the forecast still for rain but easing, the match took place.

They played 4 quarters of 10 minutes which allowed for more time for team discussions with coaches. After the first 2 quarters the score remained 0-0 and was a very closely fought match. However in the 3rd quarter Copthill had a few lapses in concentration and were suddenly 3 goals down! In the final quarter with Copthill needing 3 goals to draw level, scored 2 early goals which set up a fantastic finale to the match with Copthill creating many chances but just could not get that 3 goal to make the match level.

The final score was 3-2 to Ratcliffe and was a fantastic game of hockey. All boys put in great effort and players of the match go to Jude Warren and Felix Clayton.
