Stamford Tennis

Eight boys participated in The Stamford Junior School's Doubles Tennis Tournament on Saturday 20th June. Four schools competed: Stamford Junior, Brooke Priory, Laxton and Copthill.

There was some fantastic tennis played. Will Kong and Michael Grover (Copthill 1's) were up against a formidable Northamptonshire County player from Laxton School. This player had an extremely powerful forehand, which made most returns deflect somewhat! Despite this, the boys successfully claimed two games in this match and came second overall in their pool, gaining them a very respectable silver medal.

Ciaran Dolby and Gabriel Rudman (Copthill 2's) won the bronze medal in their pool.

Well done and thank you to all of the boys for their sporting performance, attitude and commitment. They were an asset to to the school today.

Mrs Klimes.
