U11A Cricket v Bedford Modern

Away at Bedford Modern school, Copthill's U11A cricket team were to bowl first. The Bedford side managed to score 119 runs, through some conservative batting displays. Despite this, Copthill still managed to take 5 wickets with excellent bowling from Michael Grover, Henry Crewe and William Kong, and great catches from Tom Chesworth and Ben Brittain.

Copthill then faced the challenge of attempting to score 120 runs, in order to win the match. After a slow start and an early wicket, Copthill began to pick up their run rate, through some fantastic batting from William Kong (scoring 30 runs) and Ben Brittain (scoring 48 runs, just shy of his half-century). However, some late wickets stopped Copthill's momentum; just as it looked like they might win the game, and they finished on a respectable 108 runs, 11 shy of the Bedford side.

Player Of The Match: William Kong
Captain: Ben Brittain
