Sports Days 2015

Five wonderful Sports Day events at Copthill this week.  Well done to all the children who took part, either representing their respective houses in the Upper and Lower School Sports Day and for the children in Reception, Pre School and Nursery, for their individual fighting spirit and determination that was clearly evident at their sports events, well done.

In the Upper School Sports Day, congratulations to Maisie Brownlow who set the girls 600m school record on Monday with a time of 2.10.35 and to William Kong who knocked an impressive 5 seconds off the boys 600m school record, achieving  1.57.00.  William also set a new 75m sprint time, breaking the 2008 school record and achieving 10.37 seconds.  Huge congratulations to both our record breakers.
Lower School Sports Day also saw 4 new records set for these young athletes.  Congratulations to Georgia Killick and Sammy Harriss for setting the new 50m skipping records and to Bea Selkirk and Sammy Harriss for the 50m sprint.  Well done to you all.
Many thanks to all the staff for their help during these events and a huge thank you to the parents for their wonderful encouragement and support, its very much appreciated by us all.
