U11A Rounders v Castor

A focused and tactical game!

The match this afternoon was a true demonstration of sporting etiquette from the U11A team.  They displayed a very good knowledge of the rules and they were quick to identify that good sportsmanship was an essential part of sport and they applied this well to the game that they were playing.   The girls played two innings, which saw COPTHILL limit the number of rounders scored by Castor through tight fielding and tactical play.  All ten girls should be commended on their conduct and their adherence to the rules.  There were some impressive hits and quick running from the COPTHILL girls that resulted in a high number of rounders scored.  Some safe hands saw a high number of the opposition either caught out or stumped out at first post.

Impressive play girls, well done.

Final score was a 17 - 6.5 win.  Captain of the game was Ayana Shah and player of the match was awarded to Emily Scrafton for her quick and direct passes from backstop to first post.  Well done.

Mrs Harriss
