U9s Rugby v Brooke P Wed 7th October

Copthill u9s played there first contact match of the term on Wednesday 7th October at home to Brooke Priory.

It was a tremendous match played in a great atmosphere and spirit and has to be one of the most entertaining matches seen at u9 level, in terms of try scoring!

Copthill were a little depleted due to some boys participating in the Witham Hall cross country. This did not however, dampen the boys spirit, determination, endeavour and fantastic teamwork!

The final score was 9 try's each. Which in the end was probably a fair result. All the boys should be extremely proud of their efforts and achievements and I would like to make special mentions to Henry Clifton for his super tackling, Ted Pennell for his strong and straight running, along with William Fraser for his overall play.

Copthill u9s play Stamford JS on 8th October at home in which will prove to be a tough match. They then entertain Brooke Priory again next Wednesday in a repeat of this weeks fixtures, with a slightly stronger squad.
