U9s Rugby v Stamford JS on Thursday 8th October

Copthill u9s played there second match of the term in as many days on Thursday 8th October at home to Stamford JS. 

The match was slightly different to our usual format whereby we usually play 2 halves of 15 minutes. This time we played 4 quarters of 10 minutes which allowed us to interact with the boys more frequently, as we wanted to try a few new things out during the match.

Copthill played very well in the first 10 minutes with the scoreline ending in 4-2 in favour of SJS. The 2nd and 3rd quarters saw SJS come on very strongly and they ended the match winning 9-4.

In the final quarter Copthill and SJS mixed the teams round to bring the fixture to a close.

The majority of these boys know and play with each other at Stamford Rugby Club which meant the match was played in terrific spirit and great sportsmanship was seen by all!

Well done to all the boys who took part and they should be very proud of their efforts.
