Upper School Sports Day - 23rd May 2016

Upper School Sports Day

Year 4, 5 and 6 took the afternoon of sport very seriously and competed with every effort for their respective house.  They enjoyed a variety of track events that included hurdles, sprints, 600m, relays and of course the fun and always entertaining novelty race.  On the field, the athletes enjoyed long jump, javelin and high jump.

It was great to see the high jump reintroduced this year into the Upper School Sports Day and the children who competed in this event were all clearly inspired by the recent visit from Olympic high jumper, Brendan Reilly.

Records broken this year include Bea Selkirk Year four skipping, India North Year four 75m Sprint, Sammy Harriss Year four high jump and Lucy Colman Year five 600m distance.  Very well done to these athletes.

Mrs Harriss

The overall results of the afternoon were:

1st - Milton (330 points)
2nd - Casewick (327 points)
3rd - Lindsey (295 points)
4th - Burghley (270 points)
