Bootcamp Part 1

Keeping our pupils in tip-top condition is an important part of our mission in the PE Department.

We are fortunate to have the Copthill Obstacle Course to regularly challenge the children, and we also have the astroturf for exciting events such as the dreaded "Beep Test" which we ran before half term.

This week we have put Year 4, 5 and 6 boys through a short but gruelling bootcamp to increase their strength and speed on the rugby field. All the children completed the following circuits; the rope-haul, press up/star jump circuit, tyre-towing, speed ball, the log carry.

At the end of each session some looked exhausted, others still looked fresh(!?), but all had smiles on their faces knowing that they had given their best, and were now just that little bit fitter than when they started.

Keep it up!

It will be the girls turn next.....
