U11c Girls hockey match v Stamford Junior School

On Wednesday 16th November 2016 the under 11 girls played against the Stamford Junior School girls. The girls rotated on and off the pitch, playing in a variety of positions from Defence to Attack.

At the start of the match both teams followed the ball around the pitch, however they soon learned to stick to their positions and sides of the pitch, after getting into the swing of the game.

The game was evenly matched, however Stamford won by one goal.

Final Score: 3 goals Stamford and 2 goals to Copthill
Captain: Maddy Barratt
Player of the match: Kaiya Shah

Well done to everyone who played.

Things to focus on next time:

1) To play the ball out to the wings more
2) To stop playing the ball across their defensive goal on hit outs.
3) To attack the ball and take a shot at goal on first touch of the ball.
4) Defence need to "pressure" the opposition, before they are in their attacking circle.
