U11B Girls Hockey v Stamford Junior School Wed 16th Nov 2016

Congratulations to the U11B Girls Hockey team who put on a very determined display of quality hockey in their match yesterday against Stamford Junior School.  The girls played four quarters and were unlucky to concede a goal in the very first quarter.  With perseverance and some impressive passing out, using the width of the hockey pitch and moving well to receive the ball, the girls made every effort to get the ball into their attacking 'D'.  A few good attempts at shooting in both the first and third quarters were unfortunately unproductive in securing the equalising goal.  They girls kept their spirits high and knew they were good enough to secure an equalising goal and this they did with only 3 minutes to go.  When the final whistle was blown the result was a well deserved 1-1 draw.

Captain of the game: Emily Anderson

Player of the match: Jessica Dean for secure and consistent defending.

Very well done girls and very well played.

Mrs Harriss
