U11 Mixed Rounders v Kirkstone House

On Wednesday 20th April our mixed U11 rounders team took to the field for the first fixture of the season.  We couldn't have had a better day for the game, with glorious sunshine mixed with a gentle breeze and eleven players raring to go! Kirkstone won the toss and put us into bat first. We started confidently, with half rounders for Jemima Hitcham, Vir Makwana, Saiyan Mashru and Mirrin Edgar and some great displays of batting from the rest of the team. Our fielding showed promise, with some excellent throwing from Charlie Plant and Molly Salter in the deep field. Our second innings saw some great game play from Alice Teesdale, Sydney Freeman and James Christou when batting and some excellent fielding from Charlotte Cole and Oliver Miller.  We were unlucky to lose 11 - 15 in the end but our team should be pleased with their enthusiasm and determination. Well done to all of them.
