U11A Rounders v Laxton Wed 27th April 2016
The U11A Rounders team held there own in the first innings of their first match of the season. Copthill worked hard to minimise the number of rounders scored by Laxton and they fielded the ball thoughtfully in order to keep a well matched score of seven and a half rounders to 5.
The second innings unfortunately saw Laxton achieve some successful hits and score well from their batting. A few delayed decisions from Copthill in their fielding gave Laxton the opportunity to take the lead and then Laxton built on this confidence to finish with a win. Unlucky for Copthill but plenty to work on for future matches. Player of the match was awarded to Alice Brownlow and Captain was Elizabeth Hall.
