U11A Hockey v LGJS Wed 28th Sep 2016

The U11A team battled hard in their match against Leicester Grammar Junior School.  Despite a strong and well positioned opposition, Copthill held their ground and defended solidly throughout.  Gemma and Charlotte were both quick to react in defence and worked effectively in their defending roles.  Gemma being awarded Player of the Match for her tireless tackling and clearing of the ball and Charlotte showing confidence in her role as Captain.  The team developed increasing scoring opportunities in the second half of the game and were unlucky not to secure the goal required to equalise.  A well fought game resulting in a 1-0 loss.
