U10 Rugby vs Laxton Js 22nd November 2017

The U10 rugby team are unstoppable this season, winning their final game of the season 8-3 away to Laxton. It was a bleak afternoon on the churned up pitch but the 10 strong squad scored quickly and with ease from kick off. They gained a runaway lead and at half time the score was 6-0.

With strength in depth, every player had five minutes rest meaning that Copthill always had fresh legs on the pitch. Laxton upped thier game in the second half and the fall of the ball started to go against Copthill as they conceded three quick tries. It was a strong end to the match though. Laxton unable to make forward momentum and on two occasions they were pulled down short of the line by Sam Chesworth.

Successfully captained by Marcus Oliver, the dominant team enjoyed their afternoon, enjoyed supporting the U11s in the neighbouring field and particularly enjoyed the warm food following the match!

Well done on a successful season, the House matches should be a great spectacle.
