U11 Rugby v Laxton JS on Wed 22nd November 2017

The Copthill U 11 'A'team turned in their best performance of the season so far in their match against Laxton a team who, in the first tournament of the season at Stamford Boy's School beat us 4-0 in twelve minutes.
The boys were well organised and committed, winning the ball at the ruck and tackling more consistently than they have in past games.  There were fantastic tries from Ruben Baker, Henry Clifton, Edmund Kavati, Ted Pennell and Henry Sullivan-Porteous.

The team deserved at least a draw from the game, but a late try by Laxton made the final score 5-6.  Laxton passed the ball along the line with great speed and accuracy which allowed their strong runners the opportunity to exploit space out wide and stretch our d
efense.

The Man of the Match was Edmund Kavati, with a special mention to Reuben Isaac, who played a strong defensive role despite quite a severe knee injury.  The team was ably captained by Henry S-P.
