U11 Tennis Copthill v Ratcliffe on Thursday 14th June 2018
Copthill played tennis against Ratcliffe on Thursday in what was a fantastic, albeit windy, afternoon in glorious sunshine.
Teams were divided into girls and boys pairs 1&2 and 3&4 with teams playing on the hard court and astro respectively. The appropriate number pairs were then mixed to play mixed matches at the end.
All the matches were played in fantastic spirit and they were all very closely fought and evenly matched.
Pairs 1&2 final score was amazingly close with Ratcliffe edging it by just 1 game: Copthill 32 - 33 Ratcliffe! Pairs 3&4 were also close finishing Copthill 24 - Ratcliffe 33.
Thank you to Ratcliffe for travelling to us and they were highly grateful for Copthill hosting the tennis in what is always a highlight of the sporting calendar and has been for the past 6 years.
Well done to all those who played and good luck to some of the girls who finish the season with a tournament next Saturday at Stamford School.
